27 weeks pregnant and i want to visit dentist for gum cleaning without anesthesia. is it safe?

Yes: It is highly recommended that you have a cleaning and check up and any x-rays the dentist deems necessary. The best time for women that are pregnant to see  their dentist is during the second trimester. Should there be anything wrong that requires treatment you OB would be consulted. The last thing you need is a toothache or infection while in labor.
Any x-rays done are with a double lead apron.

This sounds like an: inflamed lymph node, possibly related to the gum inflammation. Did the dentist say there was an infection? Put you on antibiotics? You may want to also see your primary care physician, if you did not get an antibiotic. If you did, you can also take ibuprofen and followup with the dentist or your doctor if not improving.

Progression.: Progression of recession is what important.  Are your gum continue to recede time after time?   Dentist usually should make a note of the position of the gum line and follow up after 2-3 months or even 6 months to confirm the diagnosis.  Continuing recession is a concern and should be treated for underlying cause before gum grafting procedure.  Static recession can be watched.

Your : Your gums may have receded from a number of different factors. Poor oral hygiene at home, lack of routine professional care, grinding, and poor margins on retorations or cavities are some of the many reasons you may have a problem. Brushing very hard with a hard toothbrush may also traumatize you gums to cause them to receded.

So the first order of business is to have any calculus removed and allow the gums to start healing. Secondly, determine the causes and address them. Finally, it may be necessary to treat the "pockets" more agressively (with surgery) to reduce them. Pockets around your teeth that are 3-4+ mm deep are very difficult to keep clean at home, and will perpetuate your problem.

Exaclty what treatment you need will depend on exact situation in your mouth and the treatment your dentist deems best for you. You cannot get the crest of the bone to grow back. You can only hope to arrest the progression and put your mouth back into a health state. Once that is done and you maintain your oral health, there is a very good chance that the periodontal disease will be resolved.

Respect Gut Feelings: It is useful to listen to one's gut feelings, but not useful to impulsively make important decisions, especially when it comes to one's health.  Gum dentists, better known as periodentists, are scarce in supply and their services usually come at a high price.  Their training is far more than a general dentist.  Their offices are well equipped and staffed.  Ask around.  Consider a second opinion.
