Deep Cleaning ?: You may require a deep cleaning, or 'scaling and root planing' of the affected areas, then a more thorough home-care regimen.  Do the area(s) bleed?  When?  Have you been evaluated by your dentist, both radiographically and clinically?  The short answer to your question is 'probably', but you may well not get any associated bone loss back. White teeth: First be sure they have been cleaned professionally then floss and brush all surfaces of all teeth for a full five minutes and you can use baking soda with peroxide on a daily basis to help whiten the teeth. You can also try whitening strips that are otc.

More information: To accurately answer your question, we would need to know what disease you're talking about.  If it's periodontal disease, the only "home remedy" available is routine and meticulous brushing and flossing along with an antibacterial mouthwash like listerine or crest prohealth.  This only helps after all the bacterial tartar is removed by your dentist, however.

Varies: I prefer floss, rinse, brush, rinse.
Flossing gets rid of particles between the teeth that a brush doesn't touch. If you reversed it that is not a big deal, as long as you do both thoroughly.

Gastrointestinal bleeding can have many potential causes, including  hemorrhoids, ulcers, gastritis, diverticulosis, and cancer.
