can you develop a rash around the mouth from dehydration?

Perioral Dermatitis: Perioral dermatitis is a facial rash that causes bumps to develop around the mouth. In some cases, a similar rash may appear around the eyes, nose, or forehead.
The condition is most commonly seen in young women (90% of cases), but it can affect men as well.

i have servere itchy on arms slightly on legs but no visible rash. i read online that it may be dry skin or dehydration. i'm not allergic to anything.

Dry skin: may be due to dehydration or dry weather in winter, keep yourself well hydrated, even in winter, bath with cream soap, tap your skin dry rather, don't smear it dry, apply a moisturizer immediately after to trap the moisture in your skin,  good luck

Dry scalp: I dont know if you've seen a dermatologist, but i would be concerned that you might have seborroic dermatitis of the scalp caused by a fungus. You might try Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo 1 percent available over the counter.

Yes: Antidepressant and a number of medications can cause dry mouth. Drink plenty of water. Can add some lemon to stimulate saliva. Also, chewing sugar free gum can help with salivary flow.

my daughter recently started kindergarten - has been itching evenings ever since, could dehydration cause this? no rash.. just itchy- arms and legs.

Is this acute?: Possible irritants  from school or just plain dry skin and under stress and being nervous. Does she like school? Any recent changes in her life? Does she suffer from eczema ? Please give more info and details to give more specific answers. Thank you. Best thing to do is have it checked out by her doctor.

Rosacea Cause: People with rosacea have too much of a molecule known as cathelicidin, and using mice and artificial cell culture techniques, they showed that this excess leads to rosacea symptoms. They have also shown that the overabundance of cathelicidin is the result of an excess of an enzyme in the facial skin.

i've had a rash for about 6 months now. from pictures that i've seen it looks more like jock itch than anything else. but it never itchs

A few possibilities: Jock itch doesn't always itch. Erythrasma causes a similar looking rash; it requires antibiotics by mouth. If you are overweight or diabetic, it could be just irritation from moisture, yeast, or other superficial infection. Keep it clean and dry, and try a jock itch ointment if not yet done. If these don't work, see a doctor -- perhaps a dermatologist if your PCP hasn't been able to sort it out.

Rash: Who have you seen till now? What treatment? When the rash recurs i would call the office and see if they have any cancellations on that day or next. Alternatively you can go to an urgent care when it recurs -at times they can call and get an appointment within a few days. Otherwise would wait for your appointment,when a known patient  they may see you sooner when it recurs.
