Green stool: If this infant is receiving breast feedings regularly - it may be entirely normal. If the infant is receiving formula feedings she or he may start to show signs of intolerance to the particular formula. A thorough examination is in order here by your pediatrician and regardless of the feeding method - stool samples may be required for further evaluation.

No need worry.: You should not be concerned. The greenish tinge may be because of substance in the formula like iron in fortified formula. The bowel is in a maturation process and various components of the food are processed in various ways giving different color to the stool but do not worry as long as the baby is playful and eating well.

Infant feeding: Lentil is an excellent source of fiber and nutritious as well. It is harder to digest especially by a 4 mo. Current thinking is to start solid foods that are nutritious and easy to digest. Cereal is not necessarily the first food to give now. It has been found that meat 
and /or vegetables are good to start with especially when baby is breastfed. The lentil caused  the way her stools came out.

Nothing important: The stool color is created by ultra-green bile added to it during processing. It will undergo changes through a range of greens to yellow &amp; then browns as gut bacteria digest/metabolize nutrients in the poop. Green only means it moved through faster before germs could change it. It does not define an illness. He may or may not be reacting to something you ate.

Not if she is better: Dark green stool can be ok. Fever x 3 days can be virus....She needs to drink..Many children have decreased thirst when sick. If she is peeing ojk then no worries, if not and she is getting worse than see your doctor.

Fast transit: I year old have fairly fast transit of foods through the digestive tract. Its not surprising that there is undigested fibrous foods like blueberry and cherry.  Probably better to puree these fruits for better digestibility and absorption as well as decreasing the risk of choking in this age group.

So rare: You are more likely to get hit by a bus today than have colon cancer at your age. I'm not sure what symptoms other than "no blood" you refer to, as most colon cancers have no symptoms. If you are having abdominal pains, fullness, nausea, etc - then you should see doctor as there are literally hundreds of conditions other than cancer that could cause symptoms in abdomen.

Mgt: I would suggest that they ask their pediatrician for the results of her newborn screening tests. The tests screen for a number of conditions. There may be several causes and among these include hepatitis, alpha one antitrypsin deficiency, hypothyroidism.
