UTI &amp; Blood: A urinary tract infection (UTI) can cause blood in the urine. More importantly, the infection can ascend to the kidneys causing back pain and a more serious progression of the infection if untreated. Hopefully, your infection has been treated with antibiotics.

Blood in urine: It is abnormal  to have blood in urine. If it cannot be accounted for you need to look at the kidneys and then have the bladder scoped. You are screening for a cancer. If you have this done and cleared by urologist then you have an unexplained blood in urine

Pregnancy test: Implantation bleeding is not really as common as the internet would have you believe. When it does happen it's  usually 6-12 days after ovulation.  A pregnancy test 7-10 days after unprotected intercourse  is much more helpful. If you are trying to avoid pregnancy considering your age please see your doctor to discuss birth control options. If you are trying to get pregnant take a prenatal vitamin

You need Med-checkup: Blood in the urine should stop once the stone has been passed out. Drink ample fluids today. If your urine is not clear like water by tomorrow, then you need to go see a physician. ER is only necessary if you have pain or fever which should then require immediate attention. Otherwise outpatient medical care should be adequate.

2 bladder or kidney stone
3tumours and cancer of bladder or kidneys

6 inherited alpert sybdrome and sickle cell disease
7meds like aspirin, anticoagulants, anti cancer drugs
8 some time strenuous exercise can too
blood can be visible or microscopic.

Yes, possible: Above scenario appears consistent with a passed stone, however you are left with the 2 conditions that contributed, taking a blood thinner and the propensity of forming stones and the risk for another such episode in the future remains high. Make sure all your treating docs are aware of recent events.

Many things: Infection, increased bilirubin (which can be from a liver problem or blood destruction).  There is a rare disorder called paroxsymal nocturnal hemoglobinuria.  Could be bleeding from the kidney.  The most common would be an infection.

blood in urine. i just recently noticed that after i finish urinating there is blood that follows. it started off faint a few hours ago, and has only gotten darker in color. anything that i need to do besides the obvious?

Blood : Blood in the urine should never be considered normal.  The list of causes for blood in urine is fairly broad, and can be as simple as a bladder infection to as dangerous as bladder or kidney cancer.

Prompt and proper diagnosis should start with an immediate visit to your primary care provider with a simple urinalysis (you given them a urine specimen, and they analyze it in the lab), but can involve advanced medical imaging of your kidneys and possibly bladder.
