NO: Igg testing only indicates exposure to a particular item (food, drug, etc).  Ige testing is considered the gold-standard for evaluation of allergies currently and can be demonstrated by skin or blood testing.

does an hsv-1 igg level of 15.9 indicate a rampant, active infection?  and regardless, does it warrant anti-viral treatment?  no external sores, but infection may be in cns as i have orthostatic intolerance.

Whoa: I appreciate your interest in medicine but you've got no reason to be frightened. Herpes involving the brain is not subtle -- you'd be obviously sick. Your high IgG level just means your body's good at responding to and remembering herpes. Different folks drop their blood pressure more or less as they stand up -- nobody understands why but it's trivial, and you're not dying of herpes.

Dengue: Without knowing the antibody titers to which you are referring and whether you have symptoms it is difficult to  comment. On the other hand if you have antibodies (both IgG and IgM) to Dengue virus it is probable that you have recent dengue infection.

No: Au contraire, IgG indicates past exposure and usually indicates the presence of some protection against that organism. And yes it may last forever albeit may decline in level over time.  IgM on the other hand indicated an active infection.   Don't worry, be happy.  If your husband is sleepy and does not happen to be one of Snow White's dwarves, it is not from Dengue.

: Those results mean you are acutely infected with Dengue (positive NS1 antigen and IgM) but not long enough for IgG to develop yet. Admitting criteria will depend on your medical history, current physical exam and lab results. Not do all acutely Dengue infected patients require hospital admission.

Yes: That means that you are immune to rubella, likely from the MMR vaccine you would have received as a child.  Your baby and you are protected from rubella infection should you be exposed during pregnancy. Though of course if you come into contact with someone with rubella, to be safe you should avoid them going forward. Also, congratulations on being an expecting mom!

Yes: Yes, the hsv igg should be positive, unless you only became infected very recently.
