There are risks: Sleeping pads can cause burns if you fall asleep on them. Of course they help with muscle aches but they can cause harm so i would not recommend them for sleeping.

NO: Do not ever sleep with an electric heating pad on.  You could burn your skin, cause a fire, or become entangled in the cord, possible strangulation.   Never fall asleep with the heating pad.

i feel asleep on a heating pad last night woke up at 8 am and turned if off i went back to sleep until 10 am and checked my temperature and it was 99.3 could this be from the heating pad or should i be watching my temperature today??

Temperature: Not to worry - 99.3 is not considered a fever. If you feel ill, monitor your temp.

Heating pad: I think they're probably due to the heating pad and you don't realize that the heating pad is touching that area

Try yoga: Yoga, deep breathing, and two Advil (ibuprofen) should help abort crampy menstrual pain.

Leg ache: Is it one leg or both?  Did you hurt yourself?  Have you tried two Ibuprofen every 4-6 hours.  You might try ice to see if it helps.  You have to see your doctor if pain continues, and find out what is wrong e.g. Rule out blood clot etc.

Cramping: Try placing the heating pad down and positioning your lower abdomen on top of it

: The abdomen has generous blood flow which regulates/controls local organ temperature. I cannot see how the external heat source you mention would have any effect on the deep abdominal structures.
