No worries: A lot of people use hand sanitizer very often nowadays. It seems to help prevent transmitting infectious germs. Neck skin is more sensitive than hand skin, so although occasionally using hand sanitizer (alcohol gel) on the neck is fine, using it too often may start a neck rash.

is it possible to overdo hand sanitizer/purell? besides drying out any other dangers? with shopping and kids we seem to use it a lot multiple times a day to avoid covid. but wonder if you can get sick from too much purell/germx?

No Danger: There is no danger of overuse of alcohol based hand sanitizers when used on skin. The alcohol does not absorb into the skin and is evaporated within seconds when used on hands and other skin surfaces. Avoid using it on sensitive areas such as near your mouth, nose or eyes, and never use it internally either by drinking it, using it as a gargle or inserting it into your nose, ears, vagina or anus.

about a month ago i was at the doctor and he had blumen hand sanitizer in the exam room. i used a little as i waited for him to come in. blumen is on the recall list. i used it once. am i in danger? this is a nightmare. no recalls at the time!

Sanitizers:  A number of hand sanitizers that were labeled as containing ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, tested positive for 1-propanol. The problem is that sometimes people ingest sanitizers  for it's alcohol content or young children may ingest it.  If you did not ingest the hand sanitizer - you should be fine.

Varies with amount: The material I use in the office is 65% ethyl alcohol combined with a number of agents that are toxic to germs and act as stabilizers for the product. Tiny amounts as you describe would not be enough to cause a problem if it is this type of sanitizer.The most toxic products out there involve methyl alcohol and those are rarely found in such commercial products..

use 70 isopropyl alcohol as hand sanitizer. ate after using. if it got in the persons mouth because it didnt dry yet mouth is there danger? its in a spray bottle so hands were not drenched it the alcohol?

Dry skin: Sanitizers usually have some alcohol in them that can dry your skin , so use a moisturizer on a regular basis.

Not recommended: Hand sanitizer has alcohol which can be toxic the tissues and flesh underneath the skin. (its not toxic to the top layer of skin)  usually best course of action for a deep cut is to stop the bleeding with direct pressure. Then if bleeding stops wash with gentle soap and water.  See a doctor to see if you need stitches.

No: Will sting, but won't cause harm. Similar to putting a disinfectant on a wound. It is then best to rinse it off with claen water.
