This is different from being in alcohol withdrawal. Sustaining behavioral change can be difficult, and you'll need to develop other ways of coping with life than drinking if you want to be "out of danger."  aa is there for you if you're willing.  http://www.aa.org.

My opinion: There r many but in my experience it is difficult to get the meds right 2 control the symptoms & be tolerable for the patient--why throw in unnecessary chemicals (alcohol) that may throw every thing off?

Moderation helps: Risperidone is an antipsychotic with minimal sedative properties. Alcohol can add to sedation. Also, drinking more than recommended quantities could worsen bipolar itself theoretically. I would advise moderation definitely while drinking alcohol.

Alcohol and activity: Not sure what you mean by "loose motion", but drinking alcohol will lead to impairment of motor skills , alertness and judgement, and should not be combined with activities that require these faculties.

Suspicious: Not enough info.  How many is "a few?"  Should you be drinking alcohol which is a CNS depressant while taking an anti-depressant, Pristiq (desvenlafaxine)?  Why are you taking an opioid  which is also a CNS depressant?  How close if not together re perc's and alcohol?  Not enough info!

Probably: Alcohol can certainly cause heart rhythm issues. Alcohol itself would not directly cause a heart attack.

Mixing is dangerous: Xanax (alprazolam) and alcohol are dangerous to combine.  They act on the same brain receptors and 1+ 1 can equal much more than 2.  A 0.5 mg xanax (alprazolam) may not sound like much but is equivalent to 10 mg of valium.  Xanax (alprazolam) is one of the most addictive of the benzodiazepine tranquilizers.  Using it regularly can result in tolerance, dependence and withdrawal in a fairly short time.
