i have acne from the age of 16 (i m 23 now) and dandruff too.recently my acne started gettin worse & thr r painful black patches on both sides of nose?

Mixed issues...: One might be worsening the other one. You might need anti fungal and antibiotic treatment in order to help with both conditions. Both are known to be caused by possible infectious source so there is no easy fix especially when both are present at the same time. My advise is to see a Dermatologist for treatment.

For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex.

Other options: There are many topical options for dandruff especially when it's only limited to your scalp.  I'd try using the head &amp; shoulders every day to start. Seb derm: No cure but many treatments that can contol the problem. Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo, tar and zinc shampoos are helpful. Hydrocortisone cream 1% for 2 week cycles with a one week break is very helpful.

Dandruff: Well, you may want to be examined by doctor first as certain diseases like psoriasis can resemble dandruff but are treated differently. If it is dandruff, i suggest trying coal tar shampoo or selenium sulfite one (over-the-counter formulation). Also, Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo may be a good option. Try one of those or all three of them if one or two are not working well.
