i have been taking dalmane (flurazempam) 30mg for 30+ years but the pharmacies and manufacturers seem to have quit making the drug. do i go to outside the us to get the drug or is there a substitute that make work as well for me. ambien doesn't help?

: Flurazepam is a benzodiazepine. They've abandoned it because it's long-acting and leaves a hangover compared to other sleeping pills. Probably the closest equivalent to 30 mg of flurazepam would be 10 mg of Valium (diazepam) though equivalent doses of benzodiazepines are not as predictable as many other classes of drugs.

Dalmane (flurazepam): Not sure why u are switching if Dalmane was working for u, but discuss with your prescribing doctor the alternatives such as sleep hygiene, melatonin, ambien, (zolpidem) etc.

Dalmane (flurazepam): It is a long-acting hypnotic which can lead to dependence & daytime sedation if used on regular basis.

Dalmane (flurazepam): Yes, but recommend using it on "as needed" basis & only under direct supervision by your prescribing doc. Many other alternative sleep aids are available that would not cause dependency in the long run.

Yes: Dalmane (flurazepam) aka Flurazepam is a long acting benzodiazepine. Benzodiazepines may be addictive and should not be used long term, but they do have potentially serious withdrawal symptoms if stopped abruptly. You can definitely taper it, but make sure you do this under your doctor's supervision.

Dalmane (flurazepam): Dalmane (flurazepam) is a hypnotic used for insomnia, on occasional basis, only at bedtime. I have never heard of it being used in the morning. Combining it with valium is bad idea, due to excess sedation.

Medication effects: Using Zyrtec with Dalmane (flurazepam) may increase dizziness, difficulty concentration, impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination.

is it ok to take dalmane or restoril (temazepam) with klonopin and seroquel? the remeron just gives me too much appetite.

Talk to your doctor : It might be better to increase the dose of your Seroquel.  I would avoid adding another benzodiazepine such as Dalmane or Restoril (temazepam).  You are already taking Klonopin (a benzodiazepine). It's best to avoid polypharmacy and the risk of addiction. Also, you could develop rebound insomnia which means you can't sleep even though you are on medication for sleep. Talk to your doctor.

i have blurry vision take belladonna alkaloids for ab pain, celiac.but vidion worse.am 50.take armour thyroid, dalmane (flurazepam).whats cause?

Vision after 50: Loss of reading vision occurs in most people between 40 and 50 and is due to presbyopia. Reading glasses are in order. Belladonna used commonly for stomach problems exaggerates this phemenon. If your vision is blurry in the daistance as well you are probably far sighted and need distance glasses as well. Belladonna definitely makes this worse.

Not Exactly: What is passed genetically from parent to child is the propensity to develop atopy (such as eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergies) but usually not sensitization to specific allergens which the parent is allergic to.  The exception, which is a controversial topic, is drug allergies, but this is usually dependent on metabolism of the drug which is inherited rather than the allergy.
