my wife often has major headaches,  that she thinks are related to digestion problems.  she's intolerant to dairy products.  could that be the reason?

Food intolerance: Some people can get headaches triggered by certain foods. Keeping a headache and diet diary may show a pattern. Aged cheeses, wines and pickled foods are well known for causing migraines.

Not particularly: Most of the indigestion medications help to decrease stomach acid, and have to positive impact on the small intestines ability to process food.

Avoid them: If your body says no, believe it ! Lactose intolerance is a simple enzyme deficiency which can be overcome by adding the enzyme. Your symptoms points to a food intolerance based otherwise, and may be allergy.  (egg,milk) Neither are required for a normal life. You can replace the nutrients from either with other foods/fluids.

Slow bowel movement: You may have obstipation or constipation. I would be helpful to know what medicines you are on. Would also suggest an abdominal flat plate xray to evaluate stool content. I would suggest a full consult with evaluation of your diet and medicines.

terrible indigestion when i consume anything containing dairy, but lactaid pills don't help. is it possible to have lactose intolerance that isn't helped by lactaid? my digestion is otherwise perfect.

There are many possibilities: You need a gastrointestinal evaluation. This is best done by a gastroenterologist. There are other products for lactose intolerance. Your evaluation  will see if there's another reason besides the lactose intolerance.

take digestive enzymes (unprescribed) to ease my bloating and help with digestion. its helped a great deal, but can i take it with a meal before taking a prescription medication (antidepressant). does it affect how its absorbed at all? thank you?

: The digestive enzymes should not change the antidepressant absorption. If you have doubt, just take the antidepressant at least 2 hours apart from the supplement.

Food Allergy: You have a food allergy.  It is most likely lactose or dairy.  You must eliminate the foods that cause you these symptoms.

i have been diagnosed with pbc stage 1 10 years ago.i have never had a mrcp, my biopsy said ductopenia, periportal fibrosis, should i have a mrcp? i have a heavy digestion and nauseous,like hangover( no drink alcohol) intolerance sugar and dairy tks?

: No, there is no role of MRCP in the monitoring of PBC progression.Please see your GI doctor or hepatologist for advice regarding your current symptoms. Good luck.

Illicit drug use: causes changes in many bodily functions that are deleterious to life.  I would recommend stopping ALL DRUG USE immediately and give your body some time to normalize.  Our bodies have a remarkable capacity to heal themselves if you don't interfere.  I think you will agree if you follow this advice.
