despite my decades history of internal bleeding, my cardiologist put me on clopidogrel. after four months i developed "blood cysts" that turned into black&blue marks, tarry stools, and chest pain when exercising. can anything help with recovery?

: Unfortunately relatively commonly seen. It sounds like the addition of clopidogrel worsened a preexisting bleeding condition. Assessment should start now with your cardiologist ( for your treated heart condition) considering alternatives for clopidogrel or simply discontinuing it if possible or necessary. Iron replacement or blood transfusion may be needed if having anemia and before gi work up.

i had a cyst lanced 2 days ago, i have had several done in the past. it now looks black, i have never had another one look this. is it normal?

Necrosis/dry blood?: It usually shouldn't be black unless it is dried  up blood which should come off or it could be necrosis or death of the surrounding tissue ..either way follow up with the doctor who did the procedure

cyst on groin has doubled in size, and has turned black & blue. continuing to soak and use hot packs. it has become extremely painful. can't see dr until 16th not sure what to do.

Don't wait: This needs to be checked today.  Can you go to an urgent care or ER?  You could get very sick if this gets worse.

See MD: You should see a doctor as soon as possible.  This could be serious and disfiguring.  See a pcp, dermatologist, or other doctor.  I would not hesitate to be seen.

You probably need: a direct visual examination since if it has developed into folliculitis, which is an infection of the hair follicle, with pus formation, or even an abscess, then it will need more serious antibiotics and/or drainage.  If it is simply a large boil and needs evacuation of the pus inside, then squeeze it out and use bacitracin on top to see if it would improve.  Sometimes this helps.

i have a sebaceous cyst in back and it is 1cm surrounding . middle of the sebaceous cyst has a black head . some days before it feels pain.

Epidermoid cyst: Sometimes they can get infected and cause pain. if you are seeking treatment then please see your physician.

Boil or abcess: This abscess is draining pus loaded with bacteria, usually staph. Continue warm applications 4 times a day to continue drainage, but 
after soaks, sterilize the surrounding skin with rubbing alcohol and cover the abscess with a gauze held in place with paper tape
and not adhesive tape.

. See MD if persistent pain,swelling or spreading redness occurs.

i have black period blood at beginning of cycle with clots in it have had problems with cysts before and two removed could it be another cyst causing?

Accepted Answer

Unlikely: dark blood signifies old blood while fresh blood appears more red. As long as the bleeding is not heavy, its ok. The color shouldnt be an issue.
