You need evaluation: Yes, you are appropriately concerned. When you pursue further evaluation, your doctor will want to know your exposure risks, travel history, etc. Also, is this the first time the cyst was identified, or has it enlarged, changed in appearance, or become symptomatic?  What liver imaging modality was accomplished?  Best of luck with your testing and treatment.

Liver cyst: Children are usually born with them. They are not a problem unless they enlarge or bleed. Cysts may be present in other parts of the body and are usually benign

Don't worry: Cysts in the liver as long as proven to be just cysts are inconsequential. Your kidneys are fine except for the calculus. Ask for proper diet, and if needed a medicine to help dissolve it and other risks in its formation such as high uric acid or gout. Otherwise things look fine.

Non-vascular is good: Cysts can occur in many organs. If it is non-vascular, and does not demonstrate an associated mass and has a thin wall, it is probably a benign cyst. Follow up with your doctor, though, to be sure. Since i cannot see your cyst, there could be other associated findings that may be helpful and important.

Need follow-up: While some of the liver cysts are benign needing mostly tight follow-up, some others need special attention. Either way you will need a gastroenterologist for follow-up and further decision of when would be the best time to get it drained.

what is riedels lobe specifically on the left lower lobe of the liver? my boyfriend had an ultrasound and thats what the report says. does it cause splenic cysts as well? both liver and spleen are enlarged. is this something to be worried about?

: Riedel's lobe is a normal part of liver anatomy and is not the cause of any disease including splenic cysts.
Enlarged spleen does warrant investigation.

can small multiple  liver cysts[subcentimeter] seen on ct,be caused by a parasitic infection?[ health not good], and i m worried about such infection

Accepted Answer

Possible: A form of hydatid cyst may present with multiple small cysts in the liver. However, unless you have been tending to sheep and were exposed to dog feces, it is highly unlikely that you have this parasitic infection. You should talk to the doctor who ordered the test and with her/his help consult the radiologist who read the CT.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex.
