: The nerve supply to these separate areas is so far apart that I cannot see any reason to link the two. One is deep, vague &amp; achy, the other is superficial &amp; easily localized.

Sound infected.: Causes of navel discharge include abnormalities of  the uracha (cyst, sinus or patent uracha), complications from past laparoscopic surgery, umbilical abscess ; recurrent folliculitis. More superficial fungal (such as yeast) and bacterial infections can occur.

Umbilical Hernia: It is unlikely to be a cyst or appendicitis. appendicitis not only causes pain but fever, loss of appetite, nausea, etc....  it also will worsen in a short time. cysts tend to be short lived and resolve on their own unless very large. I would be concerned for an umbilical hernia which will cause pain that can radiate. worse with straining and better with rest. They are easy to find on exam.

: Uncomplicated ovarian cysts are not painful. Any intrabdominal issue can result in pain around the belly button.

Maybe. Maybe not.: If one has very uncomfortable tummy pain, and is normally in good health, plus is not pregnant, the possibilities include: gallstones, appendicitis (usually right lower tummy; worsens over time), colitis, kidney problems, constipation (crampy), stomach flu, etc... Most people with moderate (more than mild) pain, or recurring pain, need a doctor's evaluation to be sure it is not something serious.

Ultrasound: Ultrasound would be able to locate a cyst on the pancreas.  See your doctor.

Suture abscess?: If there were permanent sutures used, it could be an infected suture that is easily treated by removing it. This can happen after years of not causing any tepuble at all. A general surgeon would be the one to tackle this. Unlikely a recurrent cyst, but possible.

Ovarian cystectomy: You would need to remove and type of body jewelry.  Electrocautery devices are used and could cause a burn to the skin.
