i take cymbalta (duloxetine) 60mgs.i recently took advil for pain.i read online advil can make cymbalta (duloxetine) lose efficacy and can cause brain hemorrhage.is this true?

Yes: The operative word is "can." That doesn't mean it "will." I would guess that the risk of that is very low, just not zero.

i keep testing positive for thc. i have supplemented ibuprofen for my pain and also take vitamin b2, omeprozale, advil, duloxetine and drink 3-6 monster energy drinks since becoming sober. can these produce false positives for thc?

: So you know what is in your "monster energy drink"? You could get each of these things tested for THC. Please note THC urine test may be positive for more than 3 months in a chronic heavy obese user of MJ.

should you take cymbalta with ibuprofen? i know you can take it with tylenol but i thought i read ibeprofeb can increase risk of bleeding.?

No issue: there isn't an issue with taking Cymbalta and ibuprofen. However, the bleeding is a separate issue. Higher doses and prolonged therapy of ibuprofen can lead to bleeding. I would suggest using it in moderation

Amberen: Amberen's an otc supplement marketed to help menopause symptoms.  They list a couple of ingredients, none which look particularly harmful (or helpful).  But since supplements aren't heavily regulated or consistently tested with prescription meds (like cymbalta), there are no studies that have shown the two are absolutely safe when taken together.  Like many otc supplements, its buyer beware.

A mixed bag: Plain Advil would not be an issue at all - but the PM part has benadryl that might cause a false positive in certain tests. Even that should be okay after a full day or two since the last pill (half life short) but bring the bottle w/ you to reflect the cause if there's a problem. They should be familiar w/ this common issue. Try to feel innocent if you really are! Best wishes.
