Quickly: Lip lacerations heal fairly rapidly. Keep the cut moist with vaseline or neosporin ointment until it heals fully.

: You could get other infections, like herpes  with a chapped cut lips; but unlikely to acquire HIV with sharing of cigarette smoke.

It can happen: Braces are sharp and the orthodontist does have to stretch your lip a bit to work in your mouth.  Try using lots of lip ointment before your appointment and orthodontic wax afterwards.  Discuss the issue with your orthodontist.

Maybe: I would choose to leave this alone. The kid will moisten the area with saliva if they choose.Saliva has some natural anti-bacterial qualities.  The Sudocream may interrupt natural healing.

Yes: HIV and any virus for that matter just needs a host cell. Does not need to be CD4 cells=T Lymphocytes. The Lymphocytes are the ones that get ultimately the most damage against them. I strongly suggest you get tested if u are concerned and have been sexually active.

Highly unlikely ....: but probably very remotely possible.  The viral content of this amount of blood in the mouth would be expected to be very low if even measureable. Hard to understand why someone would decide to kiss someone with known HIV who had a bleeding lip; perhaps the HIV status wasn't known at the time. Stay well:)

Extremely low risk: Almost zero, but not zero. It would be prudent to get an HIV test in about 4-6 weeks, and at 3-6 months. This is very conservative, but would be reasonable.
