No: A ct scan of your sinuses will not affect your fuch's endothelial dystrophy.

ETD?: Eustachian tube dysfunction? Diagnosis can often by made by interview alone as symptoms/clinical course are typical. Aseptic swelling of the middle ear compartment (seen on ear exam) is supportive.  CT scan will not help. If severe, and optimized treatment strategies for allergic or non-allergic rhinitis, gastric reflux, etc fail; then ENT will sometimes place ear tubes.

It could just be eye: Strain or inflammation of the muscles surrounding your eyeball. Consider seeing an ophthalmologist. Try taking otc nsaids. If there are no other symptoms such as visual blurring, headache, dizziness, fever etc, i won't worry much. (try to look at the left. It may help. Or are u watching too much tv or doing facebook? Joke!) take care !

No, not even 9 scans: Patients get CT scans all over the world, every day. As long as there is a good reason for the scan, it is fine to do. If repeated scans are planned, to follow some sort of serious illness, a patient can ask his doctor what other options there are, in order to decrease the total number of scans in his lifetime. Having repeated CT scans, over and over, can add up to too much x-ray exposure.

Sinus pressure: It sounds as if you have a sinus infection.  Have a look at by your physician.  They will examine your sinus area with a speculum or a tiny endoscope and will be able to determine if that is the case.

Both and more.: Ct scans are great for showing anatomy and disease states. Infection, trauma, tumors, and anatomic variants of normal   can be seen.

The sinuses have normal drainage pathways that can be seen as open or obstructed by infections, tumors, and deviations from normal anatomic form.  

Such deviations can lead to recurring/chronic sinusitis that may require surgical cure.

Radiation is involved, so frequent exams are not recommended.

if i'm having vertigo and blood tests good, ct scan of brain clear, sinus scan not, and hearing tests good. could this still mean inner ear disorder?

Accepted Answer

Yes: Is the vertigo intermittent?  If so it could be BPPV. Have your doctor do a test to determine of this is the cause of your vertigo.
