RF - rheum arthritis: You could have rheumatoid factor negative (rf-) rheumatoid arthritis. Not likely gout without crystals in fluid. Other possibilities are pseudo gout or lupus. You may want to see a rheumatologist.

Bilateral knee X-ray and MRI if symptoms persist. You should also go gluten free  wholeApproach. Com. And start vitamin supplements. Glucosamine/krill oil/ubiquinol/resveretral. Also PT eval for ROM exercises.

Not a pain reliever: Cymbalta (duloxetine) is a unique medication for chronic pain.  It increases the serotonin  and norepinephrine between nerve cells.  It does take some time (days-weeks) for this to happen.  It doesn't work like other short-acting pain relievers such as ibuprofen.

No*: There is no current way to regrow hyaline cartilage (the type that is on joint surfaces).  When joint cartilage is damaged, it is replaced with less smooth cartilage.  An arthroscopy can be performed with tools used to help improve cartilage.  The suppliment glucosamine chondroitin can help in some cases.  There is also an injectable joint fluid that can help.  Research may help find new ways.
