Infant Sleep: There are two parallel paths when attempting sleep training....one is Dr. William Sears and the other is Dr. Ferber. Dr Sears is all about attachment parenting and Dr. Ferber is a more no nonsense approach. Probably you will find a happy medium between the two.

Sleep training: You can sta renown.  Make sure she is drowsy before putting her to bed.Once in bed , make sure she is okay, but don't pick her jo. It will take several nights and shell fall asleep on her own.

Depends : Make sure you put him to sleep ... sleepy but not asleep. Assuming he is not in pain (teething, illness or GERD), I generally recommend letting them cry it out. Of course, this is best to discuss with his pediatrician. He/she knows his history, and can examine him.

Schedule arrangement: Try to rearrange his schedulr so that he takes his longest sleep between12&6. This can be done by rearranging his feeding schedule and his nap time. Rember, if you are tired and can't face the day everybody suffers including your baby. There is no better medicine than sufficient rest.

Birth: Sleep training begins at birth, by enforcing social cues to demonstrate the difference between night and day. Once a baby has gotten back to birth weight, start stretching out night feeds and giving day feeds more frequently. By 2 months, allow junior to at least sometimes fall asleep on his own; by 4 mos, baby should usually fall asleep on his own; by 6 mos: always.

Sleep: It is important to start a routine as as early as possible, by six to eight weeks of age. Your baby can see color and detail, also hold his/her head up, and will recognize your voice and be sooth by it. Once you notice these changes, it’s time to introduce healthy sleep routine.

Yes : I have done it several times.  When life situations  were difficult and i could not see any solutions.  Crying is a way for our bodies to make ourselves feel better.  Consider it a gift.  If it is happening frequently talk to someone about it.  Start with a close friend if it continues seek a professional.

Yes: Children need to learn how to sooth themselves and the younger the better. If you know she does not need to be fed or changed, is not sick or in pain, then let her cry for a short period of time, i.e. 5 minutes. You can then check on her, even pick her up, but put her back in the crib awake, and leave for 10 minutes. Gradually increase the time periods, and you will be amazed how well she'll do.

Night Wakenings: Generally, your child is not actually asleep when they are crying.  They have awakened, and are trying to get back to sleep.  We all wake up several times during the night, but as adults we put ourselves back to sleep so quickly, we are seldom aware of it.  Infants have to learn to put themselves back to sleep.  They frequently cry, because they are struggling with this.

Discomfort/Fear: We all cry for similar reasons: fear, discomfort, and hunger. If you know your baby's tummy is full, the most common reasons are teeth or bad dreams (depending on their age). What can you do about bad dreams? Not much. But, teething can be helped with some Ibuprofen before bedtime. I also would check your baby's diaper, clothes, and bed to make sure that there is nothing causing them discomfort.
