Not really, but if -: -you slip or fall, you could. always best to have a hand on a bar or a wall or on one of the machines, away from the pulls and weights

Diagnosis first: These are  sore, but why are they sore. The diagnosis is  important to clarify why these are  sore  and determine the therapy.  Muscles need  power  building and stretching. Your evaluation will clarify your diagnosis and thus your physical therapy, exercise and medication program.

i had pt. i stretched my calf and my hamstrings. i am now sore. is this normal? i dont normally do these exercises (stretches). thank you

PT can increase symp: PT can sometimes increase the symptoms . If you feel so consult your physical therapist. If you do the exercises at home and develop pain, give a break of short duration , try wrmr packs/ice etc, mild analgesics like Tylenol/motrin for a short period. If still painful after a break , probably you need to stop those exercises.

general tightness in soleus and gastrocnemius.  stretches do not help. applying pressure to hamstring alleviates the tightness. what could this be?

U probably need to: do stretching exercises for the Hamstrings as well as the S/Gastroc muscles + massage 3-4 times a day and apply a pain relieving cream like Aspercreme, Bengay or one of the others. Aleve/Motrim may also be helpful.
If no relief, then formal PT with US and specific excercises for these muscle would certainly help.

Physical therapy.: You could have a physical therapist or athletic trainer evaluate it. Whether it's the tendon or the muscle, it should respond to rehabilitation.

when doing hamstring stretches (hamstrings very very tight) and i hold the stretch i get a weird fuzzy pulsating feeling in my feet. what causes this?

Pulsate=circulation: Depending on how you are doing these,  keep in mind, there is a large vein and artery behind the knee in the indent under the knee (popliteal fossa)  this could be compressing and opening the artery and vein.  Pulsations describe the flow of circulation with every heartbeat.   The best type of stretches for the hamstrings are passive. If you notice it in the heel, it may be the achilles.

my 15 y son has pain in his hip whenever he does dynamic hamstring stretches such as b-skip or hamstring touches(foot to hand) what could be the cause?

Needs physical exam.: There are many possible reasons for hip pain in an athletic teen. Some of them are developmental (different acetabular shapes for instance), and some are acquired (labral tear, and tendon or muscle strains).  A proper physical exam by a pediatrician, orthopedic or sports medicine doctor will determine if additional imaging is necessary (xray or MRI for instance).

Yes, get tested now: Important with your symptoms to make sure there is not a blood clot in the deep leg veins, please seek medical attention, as tests such a venous duplex ultrasound should be able to identify this condition quickly. Often the leg will also be swollen.

if diagnosised with a blood clot in leg, can i still fly cross country?

Maybe: If you have a blood clot, are on blood thinners and compression stockings, and your doctor feels that the situation is stable enough for you to fly, go ahead.  Hopefully, you are going to do something fun wherever you land.

cross country meet yesterday and a lump started forming on my leg to the bottom right of kneecap. its not an injury. itchy, 2 inch radius,what do i do?

Allergic reaction?: I would put some ice on it, take some benedryl and see how it goes.  If it gets larger or becomes more painful, see your doctor or go to urgent care.
