hi can i use cremaffin syrup while bresrfeeding my baby is just 18 days... does cremaffin effect baby on brestfeed??

No: The laxative you mentioned should not affect the baby. However, you may wish to use a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink plenty water so that your urine is mostly colorless. You may also increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods.

I wouldn't: The manufacturer does not condone any use in kids under age 10. Stool softening agents like Miralax (US) can be used are available over the counter in many areas. Their gentile action allows them to be used for long periods without side effects.

High fiber diet: Rather than medication consider a modification of your diet.Eat lots of fruits and vegetable , nuts, raisins, prunes and dates. Reduce milk and milk products.  Have high fibered foods such as beans and legumes as well as jigh fiber cereals.

i have chronic constipation and it has become worse, i developed a fissure, i used cremaffin it helped initially but now m bleeding. what to do?

Constipation/fissure: Usually psyllium, decreased dairy products (they harden the stool), increased water, stool softener, non-steroidal preparation h up inside the anus daily and see a physician for some Nitroglycerin cream (pharmacologically relaxes internal sphincter).

Yes, if: I am understanding right that it is a combination of paraffin and magnesium hydroxide - check under actrive ingredients - this combination should be safe for breastfeeding.

Need diagnosis....: Your cough needs to be diagnosed before it can be effectively treated. Suppressing a cough is not always the best treatment. Possible etiologies for your cough include acute bronchitis due to infection, bronchospasm from any cause, gerd, post-nasal drip or a combination of factors. All of these have entirely different treatments so see your doctor for diagnosis and treatment of your cough!

: Infants younger than 6 months are particularly susceptible to ingredients in cold medicines. It can affect them in serious and dangerous ways such as decreased breathing, intestinal irritation and rapid heart rate. Do not use any cold medicines in children under 6 months. Use warm saline drops to loosen nasal mucus and have them sleep upright in their infant carrier to prevent cough.

It should work,: but the dose for a 14 year old would likely be higher than that listed on the bottle.  Your pharmacist can help you compare pediatric to adult formulations.
