Creatine: We dont recommend the use of creatine because we do not know the long term effects of creatine on people. We also dont know what kind of reaction would occur if creatine was taken with doxycycline.

Creatine and HBP: High blood pressure damages the kidneys. This causes a natural increase in creatine levels. Adding supplements to this can create additional problems. Therefore, folks with high blood pressure should not take creatine unless followed carefully by a doctor.  (some nephrologists are concerned that these supplements cause kidney failure in many).

patient x has one kidney and a creatine level of 2.85. he doesnt drink a lot of water. is is on bp meds to lower his bp and i believe cholesterol medication. what should he do to prevent having to go on dialysis or ckd?

: He should stay hydrated. He should ask his doctor if an ACE-inhibitor would be helpful. He should see a nutritionist and get on the correct diet to avoid high potassium and magnesium levels, etc. He should avoid medications that can harm the kidneys-his doctor can provide those to him. Pres med?: Not sure what that is, but consistent BP that high should be addressed and followed closely. Kidney's are a big part of BP regulation and kidney disease can also be a reflection if long standing uncontrolled BP. Certain medications can worsen kidney function, but dehydration is the number one cause. I recommend seeing a Nephrologist.

i had  four separate urine drug test resulting in negitve diluted. my med record show 10 year history of low creatine levels. what could cause this?

Unclear question: Did the lab tell you that urine was too dilute for a valid test? If so you could limit your fluid intake the day before and provide first voided sample. What is your serum creatinine level?

No: You are paying good money for pricey creatine. I am very pleased that you are using this supplement for your bodybuilding activities rather than anabolic steroids. It works, it's safe so far as i've heard, it's not cheating, and it will not make you grotesque. I'd say you're doing a good thing, and it will not show up as an illegal drug.
