Not true: Cranberry juice contains substances called proanthocyanidins which are active in bladder to prevent bacterial adherence and thus a useful urinary infection (cystitis) preventative. No cleansing properties for the kidneys. Kidneys clean themselves as they filter water, wasteproducts, glucose & electrolytes, then reabsorb necessary water glucose & electrolytes. Cleaning out stones can be a problem.

Cranberry juice UTI: Cranberry juice is a very common tool for people with urinary symptoms.

It cannot and will not stain the urine. If you are still having the original symptoms despite using cranberry juice you may need to be seen by your medical advisor.

Cranberries: Research shows that whole cranberries are superior to extracts (liquid/dry) in regards to  antioxidant, anti-inflammatory &amp; anti-carcinogenic effects.

Eating or Drinking: excessive amounts of any food or beverage distend the stomach and results in  nausea. It makes you nauseated. Nauseous means you make those around you sick.  I suppose if you start to vomit this would be true as well.

Preventing UTI: Cranberry juice contains proanthocyanidins which interfere with bacteria adhhering to bladder lining. This significantly reduces the risk of bacteria causing a urinary infection because they are eliminated with urination. Acidic affect of cranberry juice may help to to overcome an estrablished uti, but is by no means a cure or substitute for antibiotics in spite of claims by some non-physicians.

Nopalina: I don't know if there is any proof that either is particularly 'good' for you. Anything taken to excess can be 'bad' for you. I don't know that there is any data on what daily intake of your combination is likely to do for you good/bad or indifferent.

Cranberry OK.: It has some mild benefit in preventing urinary tract infection. Since you are a male it is probably a wast of your time and money in addition to being distasteful.
