Not true: Cranberry juice contains substances called proanthocyanidins which are active in bladder to prevent bacterial adherence and thus a useful urinary infection (cystitis) preventative. No cleansing properties for the kidneys. Kidneys clean themselves as they filter water, wasteproducts, glucose & electrolytes, then reabsorb necessary water glucose & electrolytes. Cleaning out stones can be a problem.
