is there any known adverse effects for taking protein powder (whey, casein)? i usually drink one or two a day between meals, not as a meal replacement

Minimal: Whey protein isolates are generally very safe to ingest. There is a potential for some abdominal distress if you take too much at once, but this is rather rare. Assuming you have no other medical issues that would preclude you from processing protein, you should be just fine.

prescribed an ssri, paxil for anxiety, panic, ocd. two family members also had it, mother and sister, both had adverse effects. would i have to same effects for sure or still try it and see?

Try it and see.: Everyone is different.  Ask if you can start at a lower dose and titrate it upward if you are having no problems. All these drugs have mild side effects in most folks in the first weeks that get better with time. If you have problems or concerns, discuss them with your doctor when they occur to see if it means adjusting the dose, waiting a bit longer to see if you improve or if you need to stop it

Your body will say: Is there any particular reason you shouldn't eat raw salmon, e.g., an allergy?  Your body would let you know if you ate something bad for you.  Otherwise, if it was prepared well there should be no adverse effects and there's no need to be nervous.  Many people enjoy sushi regularly.

It should not: As long as you didn't mix it with other drugs, especially street drugs it wll clear your system without damage as long as you did not stop breathing during the episode.

: This will depend on how your body metabolizes it and any other meds you take as well. Go to Drugs.com and look the specific make you have been using and see if they have this information on people like you: age, gender, ethnicity, diseases being treated and other meds to avoid at the same time. Read infor Pharm has given you. Stopping it suddenly can be dangerous. Read the Black Box warning.

Cox 2: Should no be given. They can cause ulcers.

Accepted Answer

Some: Being that i practice peds cardiology my experience with this is limited.  But one thing that i gather from your question is that you might be assuming that heart murmur = heart problem and this is not usually the case.  Heart murmurs can be very normal sounds.  Cox 2 inhibitors have been associated with increased incidence of cardiac death but you ask your doctor about your situation.

Precautions: If the elder is properly hydrated, not on medication that may suppress perspiration, can communicate if s/he experiences discomfort, a short walk is likely to do more good than harm.

Accepted Answer

Should be OK: Hi. There should be a problem using both drugs. Remember, you MUST take Fosamax (alendronate) once/week on an empty stomach with water (only, and lots of it). I recommend waiting 60 minutes (not 30) before any other medicines, food, or beverages, and in that hour, have MORE water. Fosamax taken properly should have no interaction with Sanctura.
