Sore throat: Start by trying over the counter medications such as acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or a spray like chloraseptic. None of these should affect your thyroid medications.  If our symptoms persist beyond a few days or if you develop new or worsening symptoms see your doctor.

Next step is a: CT and/or ENT (ear nose throat) consultation.  At your age the most common things are tonsil/ adenoids enlargement, thymoma,  laryngeal polyp and thrush (fungal infection). Not thyroid: The thyroid is lower, not high under the chin. High dhea-s can indicate polycystic ovarian syndrome, in which the ovaries produce too much male hormone. The bump might be a lymph node, cyst, or other problem. If it persists, please see your doctor.

hey for the past 7 months my lmyph nodes my thyroid and my tonsils have bin swollen with no reason they are not continuing to swell the just swelled up and stayed that swollen not realy any pain no sore throat or anything i am not sick all this happend af

Swollen: If you haven't already done see your primary doctor. If he /she has told you all is OK see a different doctor.

Hard to say: It could be related or it could be something else entirely.  But this certainly indicates that you need to get re-checked!  Every disease/condition affects people differently and takes a unique course. Glands swollen: If the glands in you neck are swollen with your sore throat they can irritate the neck muscles and the back of your neck can hurt.  If it continues for more than a few days see your dr.

Throat and nex: Neck pain cannot cause a sore throat.  Occasionally, viral upper respiratory infections can cause  neck pain by causing muscle pain.

It sure can!: The lymph nodes in the head and neck will enlarge whenever there is a problem above them.  So a sore throat, or other problem with your face, scalp, sinuses and ears can cause them to enlarge.  If they stay enlarged for more than a month, see your doctor.  It is also a good idea to get checked to be sure you don't have strep throat, which requires antibiotics to be effectively treated.

Infection: Common viral &amp; bacterial infections as well as some toxin exposures can cause Headaches/neck aches/sore throat.Treatment can be symptomatic - NSAIDS like ibuprofen or naproxen (stay away from aspirin-still a risk for Reyes syndrome, even in adults). If it is severe or lasts more than a few days, definitely consult your doctor.Antibiotic/antiviral treatment may be in order.

Need throat culture: Although the symptoms may still be due to a viral infection, it is time for you to obtain a throat culture to specifically determine if you have a bacterial infection of the throat and obtain specific antibiotic treatment.
