Peptic ulcer: Discomfort from a penetrating duodenal ulcer may radiate to the back. You should be reexamined by your physician or gastroenterologist if you're experiencing persisting discomfort. Hemorrhagic gastritis usually causes abdominal discomfort and black bowel movements.

Abd pain: Abd pain into the back can be from the stomach (ulcer, gastritis ), intestine,  gall bladder, pancreas and often is forgotten the heart.

Yes: Stomach and GI pains can easily be 'referred' to different parts of the chest - the abdomen is 'wired' with more neurons than the brain and can definitely cause pain in unusual areas - advil (ibuprofen) and testosterone are drugs that can contribute to ulcerative diseases.

dudenonal ulcer on dexilant (dexlansoprazole). have painful gas trapped under my breast and shoulder bladand can't get it to escape. anything else i can do to help it?

Gi gas: If it is just gas check with your gastro for a diet that is void of food that increase intestinal gas sodas sugarless products certain veggies also maybe some probiotics will help like align or florastar. Check with his office I am sure they can give you a diet of foods to avoid

Be seen: There are multiple potential causes, including an irritation of a nerve in the thoracic spine.  But because some of the potential causes can be quite serious, including cardiac disease, I would definitely recommend you be seen and fully evaluated.

Get checked.: I don't want to be an alarmist, but you could be having symptoms related to your heart. Heart disease symptoms in women are especially difficult to sort out. Other possibilities, of course, include gastro-esophagel reflux and gallbladder stones. A few ideas: Burning pain=often nerve pain.Stabbing=usually musculoskeletal.If you have both between shoulders w/more on 1 side, this is common w/ thoracic spine &amp; rib dysfunction.Nerves may be getting stretched or pinched, muscles spasmed, &amp; blood flow compromised.A good history &amp; phys, incl osteopathic hands-on exam may find cause.Treatments may include pain meds, prolotherapy, manipulation,neuroprolo, etc

Not GERD: Gerd doesn't cause back pain. It's more likely to be muscle strain at your age.
