Possibly: Technically speaking, asthma is usually an allergic condition. That is, the symptoms develop due to allergies to pollens, mold, etc. However, about 10-15% of asthmatics are non-allergic, and tobacco or marijuana smoke can both make such symptoms worse. The smoke from marijuana is typically non-filtered as well, making it particularly dangerous to the lungs.

Generally no: While weed doesn't cause as much problems with asthma as tobacco smoke, you really don't know what is in it, and any burned material being inhaled is not good for your longs.  That being said, the active ingredients in pot, cannabadiol and thc, may have some bronchodilating properties.  You don't know, however, whether the weed has been sprayed with insecticides etc etc.  Not a good idea.

Also,  marijuana smoke contains ~ 3 times the amount of tar found in tobacco ; 50% more carcinogens.

It can: Inhaling smoke of any kind can be an irritant to the airways. People with asthma have hyper-responsive airways that undergo bronchospasm in response to many types of irritants. Besides causing damage to the lungs, smoking (be it tobacco or marijuana) can become a trigger for asthma symptoms as well.

The more you smoke..: ...The more damage you will do to your lungs.  A vaporizer won't change this fact at all.

It could.: Asthma comes in a few varieties, but it is the result of complicated genetics and exposure to lung irritants and allergens.  Your kids may develop asthma even if they are never exposed to smoking, but exposure certainly increases their risk.  Not to mention smoking exposure increases chidren's risk of respiratory infections and may even contribute to developing of COPD or lung cancer later in life.

Asthma: Asthma can be a very serious disease.   It it's the result of chronic inflammation in the lungs.   Smoking is probably the worst thing someone with asthma can do.  There are medications to improve the inflammation of asthma, but smoking puts more fuel on the fire, making the meds less effective.
