i developed this unusual wheezing cough at 7 1/2 months pregnant i am now 2 weeks post pardom with the same cough what could it be?

Coughing: A few common things explain cough in people who aren't sick, including asthma, post nasal drip, and acid reflux.  Your doctor should be able to help sort this out for you pretty quickly in their office with a simple exam and some tests.  Since breathing is kind of important, i'd suggest you consider seeing them sooner than later to get this checked out.

7-8 weeks pregnant. urti for 2 weeks. not 100% yet, started coughing and wheezing. cough tastes metal today. any cause for concern?

Sounds: like this may have triggered some asthma issue, and this should be evaluated by your doctor.

Asthma!: Congratulations on your pregnancy.  The medicines that we often use for cold and flu symptoms during pregnancy are considered safe, in general.  I would hesitate treating this over-the-counter or with home remedies until you have seen a doctor.

A cold, cough, and wheezing might be an indication of asthma, bronchitis, or pneumonia.  This can be worse during pregnancy.  Call you doctor to be seen!

i am 21 weeks pregnant and been inside at a conf for 5 days w a/c. started a slight cough yest & woke up last night wheezing, coughing, sore throat, slight drip in throat but not coughing/sneezing anything up yet. suggestions on what to take?

Ask you OB GYN: Take as little as,possible. Speak with your OB for the best advice regarding prescription meds. Decongestants potentially may interfere with the pregnancy, so resist treating yourself unless it with teas like throat coat. You need a correct diagnosis first before really knowing how this should be  treated, and to prevent it from getting out of control.,

Status Asthmaticus: You were treated with a common bronchodilator for bronchospasm, cough and wheezing secondary to asthma or asthmatic bronchitis. Lack of oxygen can have serious impacts on a developing fetus! Do you have a history of allergies, asthma or atopy? Are you exposed to particulates, diesel or toxic air contaminants? In status epilepticus uncontrolled severe asthma lasting days can be life threatening.

Asthma specialist: Asthma can develop, and/or worsen during pregnancy. You must get this evaluated by an asthma specialist who can follow your progress during the pregnancy and help guide you to the best possible outcome.

Should see a doctor : You pretty much have an idea of what you might have based on your description and the medications you use. You should come back to your doctor to be evaluated for uncontrolled asthma and an upper respiratory infection  / sinusitis especially when you are pregnant and you have been wheezing and congested for the past 2 weeks.
