Many types...: Bronchodilators such as albuterol (Ventolin) or levalbuterol (Xopenex) enlarge the diameter of the airways to help air flow and mucus come out of the lungs. Patients with cough-variant asthma, exercise-induced asthma, or regular asthma also use steroid inhalers (such as Flovent) to reduce swelling, mucus, and "sensitivity" in the airways. Singulair is an another medication that can be used.

why am i depressed while on medication?

Approaching: depression wi multiple modalities is best. There are many
things you can do for depression.  Don't isolate. Spend time w people. Use your support system. Get out. Don’t stagnate at home. Work to get 8 hours or &gt; of sleep per night &amp; eat healthfully. Daily aerobic physical activity is a big +.  Recommend the “Feeling Good Book" by Dr. David Burns. Don't just read it - DO IT!

Several: Now that we have studies showing that long-term benefits for interferons and Copaxone are likely minimal at best, and that 60% of pts do not do well by 2 yrs, we are starting to see the emergence of far more potent meds.  Gilenya and tysabri (natalizumab) are here.  Tecfedera is close, lemtrada by end of year.  Daclizumab, ocrelizumab, the newer s-1-p drugs being looked at.  Even new drug for spasticity.

Not sleeping: The most common cause of fatigue in a healthy young person is sleep deprivation.  Look at your calendar and figure out how many hours you are getting.  You should have at least eight hours per night if not more.  Other causes of fatigue include depression and hypothyroidisim.

Stroke prevntion: Aggrenox is a combination of Aspirin and a drug called dipyridamole. This combo prevents platelets from "clumping" and causing a clot or embolism to prevent strokes. It is a relatively safe drug. Most drug interactions involve other drugs which also prevent platelets from clumping and thus cause bleeding.

would i need to be on medication for reactive depression?

Variable.: Some people work through their depression fine without use of psychiatric medications. However, if a person has significant neurovegetative symptoms (like not eating, not sleeping, not bathing etc.) then they may benefit from psychotropic medications to get back on track.
