Highly unlikely: Embolic strokes are considered to be the typical forms of stroke or hemorrhagic type as well that place a person at highest risk for post stroke dementia like consequences.  Small vessel ischemic type, since 2009?, and a single event?  Nah.....but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get a workup of some sort because there may be an explanation.
