i'm 19, female. i just recently started masturbating and now it feels like it's controlling me. i don't want this to be something i am dependent on or something that i cannot control. i keep feeling some discomfort in my clitoris if i don't masturbat?

No worries: Masturbation should be harmless to the body as long as he or she does not use too much force or friction on his or her genitals. One should realize that the body has essentially the same response to masturbation as to sex for the purpose of reproduction. That means the body reacts just as it does during sexual intercourse, which, of course, has no harmful side effects on the body.

Mental issues: It appears to be a mental health issue and an acute one too. At this point, you need to seek emergency care at a mental health triage or call ambulance. Have your parents involved as well as soon as possible.

Difficulty falling: asleep is often associated w/anxiety while waking up early and not returning to sleep is associated w/depression.  Periodic waking is associated w/overall light sleep.  Please see you doc who may order a sleep study.  A psychologist can help w/stress management. Peace and good health.  Natural treatment includes melatonin supplement but w/professional guidance.  Stop all stimulants after noon.

Practice: Cognitive-behavior therapy (cbt) can reduce impulsivity in children, and improve problem-solving skills that can reduce impulsivity.  Dialectical behavior therapy (dbt) has been shown to decrease impulsive behavior in patients with borderline personality disorder. And, medications have been helpful in reducing impulsive behavior, especially in people with attention-deficit /hyperactivity disorder.

Pills: Not the best idea.

There are several items on the web that discuss the benefits of many foods.

My personal preference is "NuVal" which lists 100 food items, some very good, some not so good, and some no good at all for you.

You should also try and get in some exercise.
