Constipation: Pregnancy confers multiple physical and biochemical changes .  Constipation is a common event  usually secondary in pregnacy to dietary changes or dehydration.  Eating more fruits and vegetables will usually assist. Consult your healthcare professional before using laxatives, as some are not desireable in pregnancy.

Colace (docusate sodium) : You can try a fiber supplement like citrucel, metamucil or other once a dsy and colace (docusate sodium) up to three times a day.

2-4 ounces to start: I don't know of a harmful or toxic dose of prune juice, but in my experience 2 ounces or so daily is often effective for constipation.

Treat constipation : If you treat the constipation by adequate hydration and drinking juices and eating fruits and increase you fibers intake and exercising a lot of these problems will go away.

: Metamucil is safe during pregnancy. It binds with water and counter the drying effect of slow digestive action keeping stool softer. You can increase or decrease the amount used to reach the stool texture you need.

Fiber and some meds: Increased fiber (prunes) and water, stool softeners, MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) - all are safe in pregnancy.

Pregnant : These symptoms are likely related to straining from constipation causing hemorrhoidal bleeding. The mucus is also common. The metallic odor can be from blood in the stool or from something in the diet. This can be remedied by avoiding straining by increasing fiber, fluids and perhaps adding stool softeners. The regular use of enemas is not advised.

Maybe: If you have been having unprotected intercourse you could be pregnant. To know for sure, check a pregnancy test and if it is negative repeat it in 3-5 days. The nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite, and constipation could just be a gastrointestinal problem. Hope this helps.
