Back/ flank pain: as you have back problem it very well could be related to that. If it is knew and bad enough have yourself examined to rule out colon problem or even excessive gas can cause sharp pain

- Ovarian problem
- Bowel problem
- Kidney stone
- Pregnancy

Severe pain needs to be addressed urgently so I would advise you to seek urgent medical care like an Emergency Department.

Get examined: may be just gas trapped in the splenic flexure of the intestine( splenic flexure syndrome ) which will be relieved with OTC Gas-X or Phazyme; however, these could be a lung issue and deserves examination and evaluation.

pain left side after d & c, polypectomy (ies). its similar to my ovarian cyst pain ( every cycle) but constant for 3 days now- after surgery. do you think the surgery aggravated the cyst?

: I doubt that these procedures would directly affect your ovarian cyst. If you have persistent pelvic discomfort, especially with associated tenderness, you should be evaluated and advised by your gynecologist.

Upper back pain: Pain in that region, if it's not from a recent strain or injury, is often due to nerve impingement from a bulging intervertebral disc or an arthritic spur pressing on a nerve root exiting from a vertebra. If shingles is the cause, a rash appears after several days. If symptoms persist, consult your physician or a neurologist. Appropriate imaging studies,xray or mri, will be ordered.

Sounds urgent: I'm not sure how long this has been going on, but if it's been less than a a week, you should go to an emergency room asap. Even at age 33, diverticulitis is a possibility, as is a tubo-ovarian abscess. If it has present for more than a week, you may be able to sort it out as an outpatient, but don't wait. If primary care not available, go to the ER. Hope this helps!

Mgt: I hope that you are monitoring your BP. The headaches may be related to elevation in BP. Chest pain and shortness of breath may occur during pregnancy but should be evaluated.
