i've been in contact with a person who tested positive for covid-19.  i have been showing symptoms such as constant  headaches and body pains, nausea,  sore throat and  dry cough.  should i go get tested as well or just self isolate for 14days?

Wear a mask, stay away from others, practice hand hygiene. Be sure to get tested, if you get symptoms. If you develop breathing difficulty, go to the nearest hospital, immediately.

i have had a sore throat (glands enlarged in throat) for over a week and i have constant headache. do i need covid-19 test. if yes, how do a get someone to come to my house to test.

Accepted Answer

Testing: People are still getting other illnesses than COVID.  Given no cough or shortness of breath, other than watchful waiting COVID should pass in a week or two. Strep, influenza still possible. This testing can be done through your own provider. You can also get your own strep test at pharmacy or many can swab you there.

COVID 19: Suspicion for COVID 19 is higher if you have at least 2 of these symptoms:  temp of at least 99.6, Cough, Shortness of breath, Chills, Shivering, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat or new loss of taste or smell

Vague symptoms: These symptoms can be in seen in a multitude of conditions. An infectious mononucleosis-like syndrome is possible, but in order to be adequately diagnosed you need to be seen and examined as part of the evaluation. Best.

Eval:  Please contact your PCM who can assess you to help determine possible cause. Although this could be related to a number of types of infection, COVID 19 is on the differential diagnosis list.

See a doctor: You seem to have an infection, possibly viral. The headache is concerning and point towards sinus origin or even meningitis. Don't delay. See a doctor as soon as you can.

Can be serious: The symptoms are probably related to infectious mononucleosis. This is caused by infection with epstein barr virus. The virus can affect and in your case in fect the liver causing viral hepatitis and can cause spleenomegaly. There is a slight increase chance of splenic rupture. The eyes are yellow with jaundice decreased functioning liver. This may lead to chirrosis and spontaneous hemmorhaging.
