i have really bad health anxiety. i have been keeping it at bay for months but outbreak of covid has caused it to flare. i am scared all the time about all health issues (not just covid). i constantly feel like something bad will happen. advice?

Anxiety: Health related anxiety is a growing public health reality. Among possible activities that may help: balancing physical exercise (ideally aerobic) with intellectual activities, limiting access to internet to neutrally emotional activities, socializing with friends and loved ones, getting involved in community projects among many others. Cognitive behavioral therapy with a psychologist helps, too.

hsv2 positive 5+ years, never had outbreak but have constant vulvar pain, intense burning, occasional itching and localized right hip pain. could this be outbreaks without lesions/ulcers?

Possibly: We know that people without symptoms or eruptions can still shed &amp; transmit herpes virus which lies in nerve roots. I assume herpes virus in nerve roots in lower vertebrae could cause neuropathic pain in your case. A neurologist would be best to answer your question, however.

do genital herpes symptoms cause constant burning/itching. i think i may be having an outbreak but symptoms seem to subside every few hours. no sores.

Genital herpes: It is possible to get these symtoms just before and outbreak or you could have a subclinical outbreak

i have idiopathic perioheral neuropathy in my feet and sacral region which is constant. i also have hsv1 but not in my genital region. i've had it since i was kid and get on average an outbreak per year on my lips. can my neuripathy be due to hsv1?

Not likely: HSV 1 i.e. herpes labialis or cold sores, is extremely common and rarely causes any significant complications like neuritis.

If you havent had any workup done for your neuritis, you should get a referral to Neurologist, who can do imaging study with MRI of brain and spine to detect any nerve compression to be the cause of your neuritis.

In most cases, physical therapy can improve symptoms.!

ive been dealing with an ongoing ahingles outbreak for over a year could it be something else?

Doesn't make sense: Shingles should NOT be affecting you for such a long time - this suggests the wrong diagnosis or a very difficult case. I would suggest seeing an Infectious Diseases specialist who could help sort this out. Sometimes there is something called 'post-herpetic neuralgia' that occurs as a complication of shingles- so a neurologist evaluation may also be needed if your Primary or the ID doc can't help.

if my boyfriend goes down on me when i have hsvii outbreak but didn't know that it was there, could he get it from doing oral while having an outbreak?

Yes indeed: HSV2 certainly can infect the mouth in this situation. Even when you have no symptoms, you must tell all partners that you have genital herpes before having sex with them, oral or gential. And for sure you should not have had sex with a known outbreak! You need to tell him ASAP so he can be on the lookout for symptoms and get care immediately if he gets sore throat, oral sores, etc.

Yes: Via viral shedding. You don't need to have active lesions for this to occur.

Yes: Because the herpes simplex virus can shed even when there are no active lesions.

Chest symptoms : Chest symptoms are best evaluated by a doctor in person who can listen to the chest. Chest symptoms can be from an infection, allergies, asthma or  a lung problem, in addition to many other possibilities
