after i eat and even when i just drink a bit of water, i get what feels like a suppressed hiccup or burp feeling in my throat (ive never been able to burp). i also feel constant lump in throat/gagging feeling often. all this then causes nausea?

: Obviously you need a throat examination but this symptom may be a type of globus which occurs with stress, anxiety,post nasal drip or throat irritation.   Your physician or an ENT specialist can evaluate and advise you.

Constant burping.: Your constant burping could be a sign that you have acid reflux which is not under adequate control.  I would consider adopting anti-reflux precautions, particularly avoiding caffeine, tobacco, and alcohol and avoiding any exacerbating foods. I would add Tums to  your medicine regimen as needed. If the problem persists, then you may want to see your doctor for a trial of medications. Good luck.

Weird feeling: Your weird feeling may be caused by gastroesophageal reflux aggravated by intake of spirits.try using an antacid for relief

i have been burping constantly for 4 days now and feeling very bloated. i have tried over-the-counter medicine  hasn't worked. what do recommend?

Diet, meds, doctor: take simethicone (gas x) over the counter, and also probiotics (in pills such as Align, florastor, etc). Check out the "FODMAP diet" and follow it (you can find it on the web). If no improvement seek a gastroenterologist evaluation

Separate issues.: C Section is not ordinarily related to GI symptoms. Rarely it can cause scar tissue related impingement of intestine. Get tested for H Pylori, Get your stool examined, try Ranitidine or omeprazole for symptom relief. Hope you are not anemic/ gall bladder issues.

Burping: The more you make yourself burp, the more you swallow air which makes you want to burp more. The sensation of the throat being blocked is often caused by anxiety and tension. If you're concerned about a throat issue, reflux or trouble swallowing, consult an otolaryngologist for evaluation. Stress management therapy is helpful to treat chronic tension or anxiety.

Could be H. pylori: Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a type of bacteria that can live in the stomach and causes all types of symptoms.  H. pylori infection is very common. It may be in the stomach for years before causing symptoms.  Once symptoms occur, it can lead to serious problems, such as stomach ulcers and even cancer, if it is not treated.  It can be detected by blood test and treated with antibiotics.

Burping: May be gastitis/GERD with or without H pylori( bacteria in stomach can do breath test at Quest labs . Acid reflux can exacerbate asthma. Consider Ranitidine 150 mg 1 a day and prevecid 30 mg 1 a day . and see if helps,discuss w/doc Could also be aerophagia  swallowing air while drinking eating f/u with doc/ urgent  care

Gerd: coukd be reflux disease . Try Prilosec  OTC 20 mg a day x7 day. If not better get checked in by your family doctor

Excessive burping: This needs detailed evaluation to make sure there is no lesion in your intestines causing a partial blockage in  your intestines or stomach. Normal burping mostly results from the air we swallow during talking or eating however it is constant, worrisome reasons need to be ruled out. Please see your doctor sooner. If you have pain or fever also then go to ER.
