The 10% of the population would have one.  But if you define connective disease as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, mctd, scleroderma, and sjogren's syndrome, then slightly less than 2%.

It is rate to see 2 family members with this disease.  Basically this means it is not an inherited disease.  The abity to get this disease may be inherited but not the disease itself.
