See an ENT doc: You should go to the emergency room  or a walk-in clinic and be seen. You may have an infection
in that ear, or it may simply be block with wax or both. Your hearing is too important to mess with. Please go and be seen tonight.

Tinnitus: Tinnitus is often the first indication of hearing loss. See an ENT for an evaluation and hearing testing. Depending on the kind and severity of hearing loss noted, you may get some relief from the ringing in your ears with your ent's recommendations. Good luck!

I wouldn't if sore: Straight rubbing alcohol can burn a tender ear. Small amounts, mixed with white vinegar, are sometimes used sparingly as a preventative for 'swimmer's ear' but--without knowing if there is a potential perforation of the eardrum--an answer here cannot responsibly suggest moving forward with this remedy since i cannot peek in your ear remotely. "congested" has me nervous--get checked out.

Ear congestion can persist 2-3 wks. If you are not having ear pain or unusual discomfort, can wait it out. Decongestant/cold remedies may help symtoms overall but not the ear congestion. See doctor if persists after 2 wks or if having ear pain

Viral cold : Without seeing you and based on the description, it sounds like overall it is a virus. The concern is that the ear can be separately infected from the congestion of the virus and should be seen by a doctor in person. Most likely it is from nasal congestion and will improve with Flonase
