Muscle or joint: Usually it's muscular. Cervical facet arthritis will also do it.  There are always dangerous causes (tumor, infection) but they are less common. See a pain doctor for diagnosis.

tried to donate blood twice, first 3 months ago and then just yesterday. was denied due to high temp. 100.4 the first time and 100.7 yesterday. i feel fine and not sick, no injuries. hx of migraines and neck pain. is there something wrong with me?

: You may wish to monitor your temperature daily, when you wake up. Your elevated temperature, without being sick could be your higher than usual baseline and it may increase even more in the second half of your menstrual cycle. Keep a detailed record of your temperature and discuss it with your doctor who knows more about your health.

Varies: There are a number if possibilities, the two mist common are a cervical radiculopathy or a rotator cuff tear.  A cervical radiculopathy is an irritation if a nerve in the neck causing pain running into the shoulder.  A torn rotator cuff does not always need a injury to cause, can be degenerative.  I would not hesitate to be seen.  An exam can usually determine the likely cause.

Musculoskeletal: 30&#x27;s person w. Head ; neck pain absent injury perplexed about cause. In this age group common to wake w. Unilateral neck pain especially, to my observation, in fall ;  spring when weather changes. My consideration is that sleeping posture ; cool room air induce muscle spasm. If heat ; rest do not resolve in a week or so see a doctor.  Massage is oft helpful. This can be a true &quot;pain in the neck&quot;.

Go to doctor: you may need an evaluation by tour doctor. May have a cervical pinched nerve or pinched root. On the meanwhile take some NSAIDS IF NOT ALLERGIC. Take care.

No and yes: It cannot cause injuries by definition in terms of whiplash.  However, it can lead to a variety of musculoskeletal presentations in terms of muscle pain or even fractures secondary to osteoporosis.

Strains take time: A strain of the neck muscles can be very painful and can even cause a persistent cramp: sometimes it is so bad it will cause you to  involuntarily tilt your head (torticollis)  When it develops suddenly, from stress or a minor injury, the good news is it almost always goes away after a week or two.  The bad news is it takes a week or two.  Very gentle stretching, heat pads, muscle relaxants...

Whiplash : Lie flat in bed at night with either an ice bag or a heating pad set on low. Whichever feels moe comfortable for you. Take Ibuprofen or Naproxen for pain. If necessary, get physiotherapy.

Neck pain: Can be one of the symptoms of stroke but unlikely the sole presentation  of stroke.

See a doctor: The back and chest pain with breathing suggest inflammation of ribs and possibly the lining of the lungs. I would have expected these symptoms sooner after the accident, and if they are new it's possible something more serious is afoot. Clots in the lung are a concern, especially if there is shortness of breath. Please see a doctor as soon as possible.
