Several things: If swollen use ice to the ball of the foot, take an anti-inflamatory.

Use an orthotic to support the arch and cushion the ball of the foot.

Talk to an experienced foot surgeon for a more specific answer for your need. Bone typically needs 6 weeks to heal enough to return to most normal everyday activities.

Caution: No, but use caution when in standing poses.  Yoga usually allows mats to stand on and most times, metatarsalgia pain occurs with steps and walking, not stationary walking, however that doesn't mean it still can't hurt.  Just be cautious in your poses.  Best of luck.
