No: It would be very unusual so you should be tested for other causes such as hypothyroidism connective tissue disease diabetes etc. See a doctor for a complete diagnostic exam.

Possibly: Hand numbness, more so than wristnumbness, can be a symptom of carpal tunnel syndrome. So can pain in the digits of the hand. Predominately the symptoms are felt in the first three digits of your hand. Electro diagnostic testing may help determine if you have carpal tunnel syndrome or something else.

Lawyer not doctor: Physicians are qualified and use labs to determine lead poisoning - if one has memory lost , deppress, numbness, joint pain , low blood count, nausea speech problem  one shoudl be consulting with a physician and following up on recommedned labwork and consults.  With symptoms like that, the least one should worry about is the opinion of the attorney - seek medical help.

See your PCP: Severe pain in hands and feet in the morning can indicate an inflammatory condition such as arhritis. The individual finger problem sounds like a tendon issue. The two are not related.  A blood test. by your Primary Care doc may anseer the former, a Hand surgeon should evaluate the latter.

does lexpro help with pain? i just switched from prozac to lexapro (escitalopram) and had no idea some antidepressants helped with pain. i have terrible joint pain and numbness. thank you!

It can: Depression can magnify pain symptoms and chronic pain can lead to depression.  There are several types of drug categories that are used to help control pain including antidepressants.

You need to: see a BOARD CERTIFIED RHEUMATOLOGIST for some further tests and a definitive diagnosis!

Ask your Primary Care Provider (PCP) for a referral!
