Very common: It is very common to do bladder surgery at the same time as a hysterectomy for patients with incontinence or a prolapsed (falling) bladder. A variety of surgical techniques can be used.

i'm having a hysterectomy and a bladder lift done with the da vinci arm at the same time. will i have to go home with a catheter?

Fairly likely: But feel free to check with your surgeon's office or ask him/her in the preoperative area; or you can wait until after the surgery and find out based on whether there is a catheter and whether the discharge instructions talk about catheter care. Best of luck!!

numbness and heavyness in legs ,5 weeks post op for vaginal hysterectomy & tvt bladder lift,2 days discovered stretch feeling pain &dr said i have hemorrhage cyst in left ovary. gave me anti inflammatory but my legs is getting worse should i go  back?

Repeat evaluation: This sounds like a complex case beyond the scope of a simple answer. I would recommend following up with your surgeon for an evaluation. They may want to consider a Neurology evaluation of the left numbness and weakness to determine if something else is going on contributing to your symptoms

See your dr: Sometimes the bladder repairs tight and blocks your urethra. Sometimes is as simple as retraining your bladder again. Nevertheless it is very important to have this checked.

i am 61, have had a hysterectomy, then a bladder suspension mesh, and now have been prescribed estrace (estradiol) cream to avoid mesh protrusion is this normal?

Yes: This is very standard after the surgeries you described. Using the estrogen cream will help reduce problems with the mesh, which are actually quite rare. The cream helps to tissue stay healthy and lubricated.

i had a full hystorectomy a yr ago why is sex so painful. i also at the same time had a bladder lift. i am only 34. i would rather have kidney stones?

Please see your gyn: Who did your surgery, u need an evaluation with cultures, blood work and an ultrasound , u may have adhesions post op or a chronic bladder irritation and u may also need vaginal estrogen and other meds, u may end up needing a scope or robot surg to look for adhesions or other problems, u symptoms  are not normal as u know.

Better safe than...: Do you think you would never lift the vacuum?

It's probably better to wait.  If you can't be sure, call your doctor.  They know what they did and whether it would be safe.

The last thing you want is for them to have to go back and do the work again.

You are in the immed: Immediate post op period so all ?S of this nature need to be asked to your surgeon as you surgeon knows you, how the surgery went what you pain tolerance is etc, because if your surgeon thinks you are having too much pain you need your surgeon to evaluate u to r/ o any post op complications which u may or may not , so call your surgeon now.
