Yes: As  long as the candy is being consumed during the prep time, that should be fine.

Most likely, yes: As you know, you must not consume red/purple colored fluids during your prep as they can compromise the colonoscopy exam quality.  I would avoid red/purple hard candy/gum, but other colors are probably fine.  Check with your dr to be sure.  Be sure you don't swallow any solids.  You don't want to prep again!

can i have werther's original caramel hard candies the day before my colonoscopy? i am on a clear liquid diet.

Yes: The hard candies will dissolve into soft or liquid form before they reach your bowel.  While they are not quite clear, they are close enough.  And the volume they would produce would be very small.  I probably would not do more than 5 or 6 of them, though; maybe 10 at the most. None on day of procedure.  Clearer/lighter hard candy would be better. Keep up the water!! Good luck!

: Nothing solid by mouth is the typical colonoscopy prep. You can drink clear juice and water, and suck on jolly ranchers candy/non fruit popsicles but nothing that you chew and swallow, and nothing that is not clear.

No, not for 24 hours: You need to be on liquid diet for a couple of days before colonoscopy and have nothing by mouth for 12 hours before the procedure.
 You should have received detailed instructions to be followed before the procedure. Please call your doctors office to get hold of these instructions and follow them fully.

it is 20 hours before my colonoscopy and i still have two rounds of laxative prep to do. will it hurt me to have a bowl of ice cream or a candy bar?

Follow your MD's: instructions , may not hurt bit  if bowel is not prepped well procedure will be cancelled and you have to repeat. Best thing speak to your doctor .

No: If you have urgency and diarrhea, you might have an infection. It is not normal to have diarrhea or an urgency to push. You don't need another colonoscopy you need a stool test to make sure you don't have an infection.
They should look for bacteria and parasites.

Colonoscopy problem?: Air used to inflate your colon may persist for several hours--not typically for 5 days. Your post-procedure symptoms may be due to colonoscopy-related factors: colonic or organ mechanical trauma, post-polypectomy syndrome, abdominal wall bruising from external pressure, etc.; diverticular disease; extra-intestinal problems; ibs; lots more. First step--call asap your colonoscopist ; ask his advice.

Call your GI doctor: Not the usual.  Would see the doctor that did the colonoscopy for evalutation of this issue

i had a colonoscopy done today and doc said he had a hard time getting to my small intestines and had to use forceps, why would've it been hard?

Anatomy : sometimes if's super easy to get through the ileocecal valve and sometimes harder, especially in thin women.  he probably used the forceps to pull himself in - absolutely nothing to worry about.
