Prep for colorectal: If you are referring to an office visit with a colon &amp; rectal surgeon, no prep is usually preferred unless the office specifically told you to take an enema prior to the visit. Most Colon &amp; rectal surgeons would rather no prep as they gain alot of information on a patient in the unpreppred state. If you are referring to prepation of your colon prior to colonoscopy, your doc should have specified.

See your doctor: Have you seen a doctor? Have you had any tests done? Have you ever had a colonoscopy? You need to see your doctor so that the proper evaluation can be done and therefore the proper treatment can be rendered.

Watch the watchmen: As a pathologist, i appreciate having a second pathologist read out the glass slides and special studies, and in fact my teachers always had a second pathologist review all cancer cases. No pathologist can accurately review just a report. I suspect your friends' issue is with past work in which pathologists have found too few lymph nodes; there's little to do at this time. Yes it is possible: Pediatric patients can have cancer in the rectum or distal colon but usually it is different from the adult cancers in histology. 

This is a subject best referred to a pediatric oncologist and pediatric oncosurgeon and pediatric gastroenterologist for further guidance.

Uncertain: Any abnormal growth seen at the time of colonoscopy requires that a biopsy be done to clarify exactly what that "abnormal growth" actually is.  The biopsy should give sufficient information to determine what the next step should be, ie, repeat colonoscopy, surgery, further testing such as endorectal ultrasound, etc.

Need close observati: You need more close observation than general population,  and colonoscopy in 6 months unlike  usual surveillance  colonoscopy. If all polyps are not removed even more frequently .If you your family members have colonic polyps, or colon ca family needs genetic counseling and tests.

Monoclonals: You are probably referring to monoclonal antibodies.  These are complex molecules that have been engineered to interact with a specific phase in the cancer cell's biologic pathway.  In other words, cancer cells frequently have mutations that are not present in normal cells.  If we can block that pathway, then the cancer cell stops growing and dies. Expensive but fewer side effects.

i am using a special cream prescribed by a colon rectal dr for an annal fissure. should i do a warm sitz bath too?

: Sitz bath will help with pain and healing. Avoid constipation- You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods.

my husband had colon rectal cancer and had a colostomy now he is going to get it reversed i guess i need to know how hard the surgery will be on him he has gone through so much and now its all fixing to be over please help ?

It will be easier: Nobody knows how thing is going to happen in the future. However, the reversal surgery , i think, will be easier for him than the surgery he had before. He has been going through a lot and having the reversal surgery, psychologically,  will be one of the closure for him . Good luck for him and god bless you both.
