2 small bony protrusions on the far end of my collar bone that stick out  . can i buy a tool for sculpting bone to correct it since they poke out?

Accepted Answer

No: Clavicle or collar bone has several anatomical parts, consists of head, body, angle with ligaments attached to the scapula.  It is not advisable to perform any self assisted surgery, which carries high risk for infection, bleeding and anatomical trauma and nerve injury.

Yes.: Too much is a subjective thing.  If it is bothering you have it evaluated.

Accepted Answer

: I assume you've had no old injuries.  This asymmetry may not be pathological. It has been stated by some studies that over 20% of people have asymmetry of collarbones. If you still have concerns, have your physician or an.orthopedic specialist examine and advise you.

Accepted Answer

Could be: Sometimes the collar bone can fracture during delivery.  Usually, fractures as an infant will heal without deformity.  Have you had a recent injury?  I would have it evaluated to make sure there is not a mass or more significant problem.

my right collar bone is oddly shaped. it sticks out towards the left end and has a noticeable dip towards the end. is this something i should worry ab?

Accepted Answer

No: No, i would not worry about it, but it might be wise to be evaluated.  It can be something related to the collar bone, or it may be related to an rotation of your torsoe that can occur in conditions such as scoliosis.  Don't worry, but be seen.

Accepted Answer

Normal.: Some asymmetry is normal. As long as this is longstanding and not enlarging i don't think there is much to worry about.

Yes: Both those things are possible.

Accepted Answer

Anxiety: It sounds as if you have anxiety and are overly concerned with your body parts, particularly bones in your neck.  All of us have parts on opposite sides of our body that may be different. Some people have one breast larger than the other, for instance.  As long as you have no significant pain, this is nothing to worry about.

i think my manubrium sticks out i'm very skinny and only recently noticed it there's a round feeling bump just below my collar bone and just above the breast right in the middle it's not huge but also not tiny it also feels bone like and immovable?

: Bony prominences immediately lateral to the manubrium could be the costochondral joints that attach the ribs to the manubrium. If your finding is definitely new, fixed in position,  and even farther lateral to those costochondral joints then see your primary for examination. An x-ray can identify superficial bony findings

my collar bone is sticking out (past 60 days). i've been told via a ct scan it's a ganglion cyst pushing the bone. should i request an mri?

Accepted Answer

No point unless Symp: Unless you're having symptoms related to the collar bone (or unexplained symptoms), there's no point to the MRI. It will only show you the ganglion cyst that you know is already there. It won't push you towards surgery, especially if you don't have symptoms, unless you've talked to a surgeon.
