No: Would be extremely unusual to suffer a broken collarbone (clavicle) wiithout an injury and without knowing that you did so.  Not impossible but rare.  Some possibilities could include a bone lesion that has weakened the bone to the point that it breaks with no injury.  However, you would likely realize that you broke it as it should be painful.

"healed" = nontender: Once a clavicle fracture is nontender to aggressive palpation and manual manipulation (usually 6-8 weeks), early active motion and "weightbearing" (pushups) may be allowed, as long as pain does not result. Also nice to see good healing on follow-up X-rays. Discuss clearance to do pushups with MD.

Depends: This is a very difficult question to answer shortly and with little info. If you are lifting really heavy weights, the stress to the bone could be too much and causes the bone to break. There could have been a stress reaction or weaking in the bone prior that increased the likelihood for injury.

Sling for comfort: A sling is worn for comfort generally for 3-4 weeks max after a standard clavicle fracture. Once a patient is comfortable carrying their own own with surrounding musculature and fracture ends become "sticky" (no movement at fx site), the sling can be removed.

i broke my left collar bone 3 days ago with deisplacement less than 50% and was perscribed a sling, should i be on bed rest for these 3 weeks?

No: Bedrest is not indicated for a clavicle fracture.  Sling is for comfort.
