i have a cold - sniffling and feeling weak. it's been going on for a few days now.

Simple hints:: Force fluids x 8-10 glasses/day of electrolyte rich fluids (Powerade, Gatorade, Vitamin Water, G) and 4-6 bowls/day of broth, bullion, consume or soup. Hot steam showers 3-4 times/day. Nasal saline, Tylenol as needed, Robitussin DM or Mucinex DM as needed. Zinc lozenges and dark brown honey 4 times/day. Rest. Warm water gargles 4-6 times/day.
If not hypertensive OK to use a 12-hour nasal decongestant spray, followed by nasal saline spray, warm water gargles or neti pot. Carefully monitor temperature every 4-6 hrs.

Probably not: A viral upper respiratory infection (common cold) can last for several weeks. As long as symptoms are not worsening at this point, then probably don't need to worry. Sometimes  a cold can be complicated by a bacterial infection, but usually symptoms worsen when that happens. If there is severe pain, fever over 101, bloody nasal drainage, or shortness of breath, then seek care. Good luck.

got a deep filling a couple of weeks ago- everything seems fine can eat ok on it but still sensitive to hot and cold items how long before that goes away or should it have gone away by now?
