No: Normal skin without a cut or abrasion is unlikely to contract herpes virus (cold sore).  However, mucous membranes such as the mouth or lips, nose, or genitalia are very susceptible to herpes virus infection.

i have two pinkish bumps on my inner thigh. they don't hurt and aren't itchy that much at all. it looks like a cold sore in a way. any idea?

Go see your doctor: I hate to say it but there's not enough information for us/me to hazard a guess. Your doctor needs to examine you and take a thorough history. After all, the possibilities are almost endless ranging from lipoma to sebaceous cyst to ingrown hair to who knows what. Bottom line, go see your doc & give her/him as much info (history) as possible including travel, new meds & foods plus ill contacts.

Not herpes : You cannot have genital herpes  if you never had sex; genital herpes  is unlikely to first show up as a rash on the thigh;  and your description doesn't sound like HSV. This definitely is not genital herpes, and also not HSV1 from your oral infection. If the rash continues to bother you or doesn't clear up, see a doctor for professional diagnosis.

in 2019 i had bumps on my mons pubes region as well as my thighs. i did not have any bumps on my actual vagina or inner vagina though. i have never had a cold sore. i was tested positive for hsv1. do i have genital hsv?

HSV: Herpes simplex is very common in the population and by 21, many people are infected, mouth or genitals.  Fortunately these are not usually symptomatic.  See your internist or your gyn for a physical exam which can be reassuring.

No cause for worry: Herpes is not by such contact. To be ultra safe, mention this to your obstetrician. If she feels it necessary, you can have a blood test to see if you might already have HSV1; if so, you can't get it again. Until your baby is a month old, it will be important to prevent intimate contact of your baby with your son (e.g. no kissing). Otherwise no worries!. Best wishes for you and your growing family

Tendinitis : Those symptoms are consistent with an inflamed tendon in the ankle area. Could also possibly be a nerve irritation based on the hot cold and sharp pains. Best to have the condition evaluated by your local podiatrist or orthopedist.

: I know of no HSV infection that would appear on the lower leg. Without having a good idea of what that sore is from it is difficult to speculate where it could transfer.

Then comes a cluster of tiny blisters, which break open soon, with some pain; leaving a sore (ulcer) to heal up over a week. Sores appear more often when one is under stress or is ill from another illness.

If not, topical or oral antiviral medications can help if started soon after the cold sore first appears.
